I have recently installed my new LNO5A speakers to my Samsung smart tv via a optical lead, this sound is perfect when we are viewing the sky box HDMI source but when we change to the built in Netflix or Amazon video app the speakers do not work and crackle continuously with no actual sound coming through, this happens even when a video is not playing on Amazon Video or Netflix

Good morning,
If your LN05A speakers work out with your televison; the problem doesn’t come fromthe speakers.
I invite you to check the settings of your box then choose sound and select “stereo”. You should do the same for Netflix and Amazon video.
Settings => sound => stereo
I hope the problem will soon be fixed
